"heart"-felt prayers needed... (Updated)

Update: My doctors appointment is scheduled for 3:30 with Dr W. Hopefully everything will be "ok".

I am currently trying to get a doctors appointment for later this afternoon. My heart was doing much better last night, but this morning it has been worse. I feel as if someone is grabbing it and squeezing just for a brief second, and then letting go.
Weirdly, it's only when I am sitting still. If I'm up moving around it's not as bad. I truly think they are going to tell me it's anxiety...that would be SO understandable these days. But I'm scared that it might be something else. Better safe than sorry. Here's to hoping that Dr W has an appointment open this afternoon.

I had really bad anxiety attacks after I had Noah. It sounds like thats what you are having for sure. My midwife said one of the major causes is a change in hormones! I will be praying your appt goes well and everything is ok.

Symptoms of Postpartum Anxiety and/or Panic Disorder
Onset of the disorder may occur within the first few days after birth or come on more gradually during the first year after birth. Women who suffer from this disorder tend to exhibit the following behavior:

Trouble concentrating and remembering things
Difficulties finishing everyday tasks
Trouble making decisions
Difficulty relaxing
Insomnia
Exhaustion
Feelings of extreme uneasiness for prolonged periods of time
Loss of appetite
Possible suicidal thoughts
Anxiety/panic attacks
Signs of a panic attack include:

Shortness of breath
Feeling of being choked or smothered
Chest pain or discomfort
Heart palpitations or increased heart rate
Hot flashes or chills
Sweating
Trembling or shaking
Tingling sensation
Feeling faint, dizzy, lightheaded or unsteady
Nausea or stomach upset
Depersonalization (feeling removed or disoriented from the world)
Fear of going crazy or doing something uncontrolled
Sense of impending doom or death
At least four of these 14 symptoms will be present during a panic attack (http://www.pregnancy-info.net/postpartum_anxiety_and_panic.html) This is the site my midwife referred me to.

As someone who has struggled with anxiety, I must say that it what it sounds like. If so, it's easily treatable. :) Wishing you the best at your appt!

glad you got an appt and will find out what is causing it; if it is anxiety, at least you'll know and you can work through it

Wow I have like every symptom on that list posted! I really hope you are able to find a non-medicinal cure if it IS anxiety. (And honestly, I hope it is, rather than a heart problem.) <3
